The University of Cumbria was established on August 1, 2007, from the amalgamation of St Martins College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts and the Cumbrian campuses of the University of Central Lancashire. The university has six campuses across England located at Carlisle, Newton Rigg, Penrith, Ambleside, Lancaster and London. It currently offers its 15,000 students a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, further education and short course programmes. The various departments include accounting and finance, business, entrepreneurship, human resource management, law, logistics and supply chain management, marketing, management, MBA and psychology.
