Post Adoption Centre, UK
The Post-Adoption Centre (PAC) was founded in 1986 in London. The Centre offers counselling and therapeutic support to people undergoing the adoption process, such as, for adoptive parents, birth mothers and the adopted children. Around 1,850 people use the services of PAC each year. The Centre has established the post adoption services to provide therapeutic services, information, consultancy, child advocacy, working with Black & Ethnic Minority families and counselling services required by the adopted children and parents. PAC also has a telephonic advice line, meditation and training teams.
