I recommend Queen Mary, University of London because my experience here has been very positive and will certainly have a great influence in my future experiences. London is a multicultural city not to miss.
In order to get into an English University, I had to take the IELTS exam, with at least a 7 band grade. In took course in my home city. I needed a student Visa to enter the UK. I got here by Jet Airways. This airline has cheap fares for students and extra baggage is allowed. I landed at Heathrow airport in London and had to wait for more than 3h to get my immigration cleared. Luckily a friend of mine had advised me to carry a chest X-ray with me to the UK in order to avoid further delay at the airport. Queen Mary offered a pick-up service from Heathrow to the college for all international students.
Queen Mary is one of the most famous universities in London and provides more than 120 subjects in its LLM, so I had a large choice. The professors include high-skilled professionals in their field and other international scholars come to our college to discuss other subjects.
I live in a University Hall of residence with other international students. I share my flat with other foreign students, this is a good exposure for me. The lecture halls are good and the libraries usually provide the books that the lecturers require. It is possible to get part-time jobs within the university or in the city. London is a vivid city where the nightlife is very lively. We have a student union at University, which organizes student events and parties.
It is very difficult for international students to get a good job because of visa and work permit issues. However, my university provides graduate sessions and a career service to help students look for a job.
