Course description:
On completion of the course the trainee will be recommended for QTS (Qualified Teacher Status); there is a flexible study option where students study 1 day per week at institution and school placement is often conducted through on-going serial days spent in school each week. English and mathematics; professional issues level 3; professional issues level 4; informed reflective practitioner level 3; informed reflective practitioner level 4; wider curriculum and science; school experience: usually in 3 main blocks of teaching, 1 each term.
Entry requirements:
2.2 degree; GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) in mathematics, English language and a science; minimum of 10 days school experience in a mainstream primary school within the last 2 years before submitting application; interview is mandatory.
