Course description:
This course designed for those interested in pursuing a career in hospitality. The course covers the Level 1 modules such as: business foundations, food and beverage operations, communicating using it, marketing management, rooms division management, food science and nutrition, approaches to learning, business accounting and finance. Level 2 modules such as: principles of law, consumer behaviour, management accounting for decision making, work-based project, health and hygiene, food and beverage management, human resource management, and accommodation management.
Entry requirements:
Students should have the following one of the requirements: BTEC ND in an appropriate area or AVCE/GNVQ in an appropriate vocational area. A GCE A-level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at level A-C. Other related level 3 qualifications. Open College level 3 qualifications at 50% or above. NVQ level 3 in relevant vocational areas. Relevant work experience or professional qualifications.
